The Countdown To Splatoon 2’s FIRST Splatfest
The First Splatfest for Splatoon 2 Starts Today
Today, July 15th, 2017, marks the first Splatfest on Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. Players can get a chance to play the sequel to Nintendo’s newest franchise for 4 hours, unlike their Global Splatfest demo that was in March and only lasted an hour. Splatfest begins at 3PM PST/6PM EST.
Every Splatfest, there is a theme. A question is tied to that theme, and is asked all across the globe. This Splatfest’s theme is: Which is better, Cake or Ice Cream? Each player will choose a side and battle it out in Turf Wars to earn the most points for their team. The team with the most points is ultimately decided the winner.
Players can already access Splatfest on their Nintendo Switch and create a character to their liking, as well as choose their side. Nintendo has also allowed 4 weapons for this Splatfest: the Tentatek Splattershot, the all-new Splat Dualies, and “remixed” versions of the Splat Charger and Splat Roller.
Splatoon 2 will be released only for the Switch on July 21st. Along with the title, Nintendo will also release it’s NIntendo Switch Online mobile App, which will allow players to set up private battles and voice chat with friends, as well as view a game-specific service called SplatNet 2.
